About the Muster
Do you want to help prepare communities for bushfires before they happen? Join our muster event to support Bilpin residents and help reduce the risk of fire in the community, before summer begins.
What to expect
This muster event involves clearing the low-lying vegetation around Bilpin Oval and a path to the adjacent dam for access to water supplies during the fire season. You will use tools like a wheelbarrow, rake, and mattock.
Bring your own lunch, snacks and water for the day.
We look forward to seeing you at the preparedness activity.

What you need:
- Boots or sturdy closed-in shoes. (No thongs or sandals)
- A light rain jacket
- Wide-brimmed hat
- Sunglasses
- Long pants
- Food and drinks
Gloves and eye protection will be provided, or you can bring your own.

Q. What are the safety arrangements for the day?
Before you arrive on site there is an online safety induction course that you are required to complete. On the day there will be a safety induction onsite and trained staff to administer first aid and QR code check in.
Q. How fit do I need to be to participate?
This is low to medium fitness level activity with variety of waste loading, slashing, mulching, raking activities. Participants will be split into groups on the day.
