Overview:
Communities need your help to prepare for disaster before they happen.
Join this community to prepare the Dee Rd track trail and increase accessibility for all in the event of a flood disaster.
This will include reducing fuel loads, tree planting, weeding, cutting back excess vegetation and building the path way along the river.
What to Expect:
The muster involves helping vulnerable residents to prepare for the next flood and bushfire season. There’s lots to be done!
As a volunteer, you will be helping households to build resilience by:
- Cutting back excess vegetation;
- Trimming tree branches;
- Tree planting.
We look forward to seeing you at the preparedness activity.
The Capacity of this muster is 30pax.

What you need:
On the day, you will need to wear:
- Closed in footwear
- Long pants
- Long-sleeved shirt
In case the weather changes, please bring:
- Sweater
- Rain jacket
- Broad-brimmed hat
- Sun protection
Bring your own lunch, snacks, and water for the day together with lots of enthusiasm!
Upon registration, you will receive links to mandatory safety training which needs to be completed prior to attendance on the day.

Q. Is there an age limit?
A. Yes. Minimum Age:18+
Q. What risk is the muster tackling?
A. Bushfire & Flood Resilience.
Q. Why do you want me to sign up – can’t I just get out there and do it?
A. Safety is important to us. Registering means you’re covered by public liability and volunteer insurance – and can be counted as a participant. We want to be able to celebrate how many of the Corps are working towards building resilience and preparedness in communities each year.
Q. Do I need part of a big corporate group in order to get involved?
A. Not at all! You can sign up as an individual or with a team.
Q. Is there a cost involved?
A. We offer a range of ways for businesses to get involved with musters. You can choose from simple one-off muster events, a multi-site corporate challenge, or educational team-building sessions. Or perhaps you want to join forces and partner with us for branding alignment or to help solve a resilience problem?
